the ras and joint society jointly participated in a competition that simulated a fire incident in one of the towers, involving animal rescue scenarios. they received two awards for their outstanding performance, securing the second place for the best strategy and the third place for the best mechanical design.

our student branch ieee bau had the opportunity to attend the jsyp conference held at hashemite university. the jsyp conference is an annual event organized by the ieee jordan section young professionals (jsyp).

our participation in the ahuate conference hosted by al hussein bin talal university focused on various cutting-edge technological topics, including artificial intelligence, the internet of things, and fifth and sixth-generation communication networks.

siq forum
our participation in the siq forum, in collaboration with the center for creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship, was organized by the jordanian engineers syndicate under the patronage of his royal highness prince hassan bin talal and spanned three days. the forum's focus was on the latest trends in investment, entrepreneurship, and innovation. we also had an introductory booth showcasing our projects, which were part of a special entrepreneurship competition.

in october 2022, our team from ieee bau participated in a presentation of our student projects and achievements at the faculty of i\artificial intelligence, in cooperation with the innovation center. we showcased our innovative projects to various domains. we had the honor of prof. azmi mahafzah and the president of al-balqa applied University (bau), prof. dr. ahmed fakhri alajlouni.

our student branch, in collaboration with students from the faculty of artificial intelligence and with the support of al-balqa applied university, took part in the creative excellence initiative established by the jordanian center for design and development (joddb). they achieved third place in the competition and also secured valuable training opportunities. additionally, their project was adopted by the development and work center. their project's primary goal is to detect and safely remove mines, ultimately preserving human lives. this accomplishment took place in september 2023.

the wie (women in engineering) society's participation in the dyia competition, launched and supported by the dutch embassy, focuses on the field of agriculture.

mamba
the mamba team, composed of several of our students, participated in the minesweeper competition held in egypt. the competition was a challenge to design and build a robot that could detect and clear landmines in a simulated field. the mamba team demonstrated their creativity and engineering skills by creating a robot that used a combination of sensors, cameras, and a mechanical arm to locate and remove the mines. the team also impressed the judges with their presentation and documentation of their project.

zaatari refugee camp project : aug/2021
the sight society, a global network of volunteers dedicated to applying technology for humanitarian causes, implemented a novel project to provide electricity to a refugee camp in jordan. the project involved transforming the kinetic energy produced by pedaling bicycles into electrical energy that could power the camp’s facilities. the project received the support and endorsement of the ieee international organization, the world’s largest technical professional organization for the advancement of technology.
